Is it baking powder of baking soda? The ingredients list powder, but the directions say soda.
Thanks!

Can’t wait to try this! This is off the subject but have you tried the new vegan cheese by Daiya? They carry a cheddar and mozzarella. We tried the Follow Your Heart brand and it didn’t go over well at all.

Does the recipe require baking soda or baking powder. the recipe and the directions differ. Thank you.

Kelly,
Thanks for this – made it for dessert tonight and my family loved it. I realized, as we were eating, that it was the first cake my 23 month-old son’s ever had! It was difficult to explain to his sister why he got seconds when he didn’t even finish his dinner, but I was so excited that he could eat it! I just got your book in the mail last week – I can’t wait to decide on which cake to make for this second birthday! Thank you so much for your work!

Kelly- you are such a blessing to our family! My 3 yo had been eying up the cover of one of my magazines. It pictures a brownie crust with icecream, strawberries, and nuts. He kept asking for chocolate strawberry cake and along this recipe comes! First of all, the way it makes the house smell is reason enough alone to make it, but it is terrific! Everyone loved it! We don’t have to avoid dairy, so I’m thinking whipped cream next time… Thanks again!

this cake was a huge hit at my husband’s birthday party last weekend! the guests were so impressed that it was allergen-free. i had to break out your amazing cookbook & brag how it was a life-saver in our house 🙂 my egg/peanut/dairy allergic son’s favorite part of the cake was picking out all of the chocolate chips from his piece! THANKS again for sharing your wonderful recipes w/ the rest of us!!
